Comparison page — "Alternative to Sharetribe"

Client answerEffect on this page
Hosted licence model, no source-code ownershipAll ownership angles removed. No "the code is yours", no exit/buyout path. The trust slot is now filled by dedicated instance + own data + own domain + a real platform already in production.
Zero commission, buyer keeps 100% minus the payment provider's own feesThe per-transaction section is now a confirmed differentiator. The payment-provider caveat is attached every single time, in all three languages. No Stripe percentage quoted anywhere.
Tier limits confirmedReal visitor and vendor numbers now stated. See the handoff note in §5 — these are new public facts.
Price gap dropped against SharetribePrice is anchored only against Kreezalid (~€249) and Bookinglayer (from €260). Against Sharetribe the page compares what is included and who does the setup work.

1. Why this page can rank when the home page cannot

Sharetribe alternative is the highest-intent query in the whole keyword set. Someone typing it has already decided to buy something in this category — they are only choosing between vendors. There is no "just browsing" version of that search.

It is also winnable. Head terms like "marketplace software" belong to Sharetribe's own content, which is deep and a decade old. But no competitor writes an honest "alternative to us" page, and comparison queries reward specificity over authority.

The condition is that it must be genuinely fair. A comparison page that trashes the competitor reads as marketing and converts badly — the reader came to compare, not to be sold to. The version below concedes what Sharetribe does better, which is what makes the rest believable.

2. Positioning: what the real difference is

Not price against Sharetribe. This is the decision the client confirmed, and it is the right one: Sharetribe Lite sits around $99/month, the same order of magnitude as the €99 entry tier. Claiming "cheaper than Sharetribe" would be false to a reader who has their pricing page open.

Price is still a real argument — but only against the tools that offer comparable customisation: Kreezalid at ~€249/month and Bookinglayer from €260/month. There the gap is genuine and needs no spin.

Against Sharetribe, the page compares two things instead:

Sharetribe Lite (~$99/mo)Sharetribe Extend ($299–389/mo)Kreezalid (~€249/mo)This platform (€99/mo + setup from €500)

Indicative-pricing disclaimer applies to every third-party amount, reused verbatim from the existing translations.

The one-sentence version that should carry the page: with a builder you get access to a tool and the work is still ahead of you; here you get a platform already configured for your business, and the work is behind you.

Opening

Let us start there. Sharetribe has a decade of head start, more than 10,000 marketplaces launched, a free trial you can open in minutes, and a built-in price negotiation flow that barely exists anywhere else. If you want to test an idea this weekend with no setup budget, or your concept depends on buyers and sellers exchanging offers and counteroffers, go with them — it is the right tool. This page is for the other cases.

Pivot paragraph

I could tell you this is cheaper than Sharetribe. It would not be true: their entry plan sits around $99 per month, the same order of magnitude as €99/month here. Where the price gap is real is against the tools offering an equivalent level of customisation — Kreezalid at around €249/month, Bookinglayer from €260/month. But the difference that actually matters is elsewhere. With a builder, the subscription gives you access to a tool, and the customisation work is still ahead of you — done by you, or by a developer you pay on top. Here, the customisation happens before delivery: your business categories, your brand, your operating rules are already in place when you receive the platform. You are not renting a building site; you are receiving a platform that runs.

Commission

Almost every platform in this market takes a commission on each transaction on top of the subscription. While you are validating an idea, that is painless. The moment it works, it becomes a tax on your growth: every extra euro of volume feeds your vendor's invoice. On the subscription plans there is no commission: you keep 100% of your transactions, minus only your payment provider's own fees — those exist with every solution and none of them comes to me. At €10,000 of monthly volume or €100,000, the subscription stays the same. A second way to pay is coming soon, designed for projects just starting out: a percentage of your transaction volume instead of the monthly subscription, with the rate announced at launch. The two models are mutually exclusive — you choose one or the other, they are never combined, and the setup fee applies either way. Online payment runs through Stripe Connect with automatic splitting between vendors, or in direct-collection mode if that suits your business better.

Instance and data

Let us be precise about what you get, because this is exactly where vague wording becomes expensive later. The platform is hosted and maintained by me, and it is yours to use for as long as you subscribe. It is not a shared space: you get your own instance, your own isolated database, your own data, and your own domain name. What you enter stays visible only to you. And the foundation is not a prototype: Homie Book, an at-home service booking platform, runs in production on this same architecture, with real providers and real payments. You are not funding a first attempt.

No code

"No-code" is such a worn-out promise that it no longer means anything. Concretely, here: no line of code to write and no developer to hire, because a complete admin panel ships with the platform. You manage listings, profiles, site copy language by language, images and review moderation from ordinary navigation menus. Let us be precise about the boundary: you do not rebuild the platform's structure yourself in a visual editor. That part is what I deliver. What you run independently is all of your platform's day-to-day content.

Tiers

The four tiers differ only in usage limits — no feature is reserved for the more expensive ones. Starter at €99/month covers up to 1,000 visitors per month and 50 active vendors or providers. Growth at €149/month goes up to 10,000 visitors and 250 vendors. Scale at €249/month reaches 50,000 visitors and 1,000 vendors. Beyond that, the Enterprise tier is on quote, with unlimited vendors. A one-time setup fee applies from €500, and the combined marketplace + booking module is €25/month if you want both. You can change tier at any time: nobody gets locked into the wrong choice at the start.

H2Veelgestelde vragen

Opening

Laten we daar beginnen.

Instance and data

No code

Do not add this page to the main navigation — it is capped at six anchors by the project's own cognitive-load constraint and already full. Footer plus contextual body links. A comparison page reached from search does not need a nav slot; its job is to feed traffic into the pricing section.

Add /alternative-sharetribe/ and its two language variants to the pre-render list and the sitemap, exactly as was done for /services-sur-mesure/.

5. Status of the four points, and one handoff item

5.1 Price anchor — RESOLVED

The gap claim is dropped against Sharetribe and kept only against Kreezalid (~€249) and Bookinglayer (from €260), with the qualifier "offering an equivalent level of customisation" written into the copy above.

⚠️ The home page still carries the unqualified version ("comparable solutions start between €249 and €260"). It should get the same qualifier, otherwise the two pages contradict each other for any reader who visits both. One clause, three languages. Alex's call to apply.

5.2 Ownership — RESOLVED, and nothing was claimed

Hosted licence model confirmed. No ownership claim appears anywhere on this page, and no exit or buyout path is implied. The trust slot is filled by what is verifiable: dedicated instance, isolated database, own domain, and a platform already running in production on the same foundation. The copy says plainly that the platform is hosted and maintained by the seller and available for as long as the buyer subscribes — stating it openly is more solid than leaving the reader to discover it later.

5.3 Commission — RESOLVED, then requalified on 2026-08-01

Zero commission confirmed. Every mention carries the payment-provider caveat, so it can never be read as "zero fees end to end". No Stripe percentage is quoted anywhere, since none was confirmed.

⚠️ Requalified twice the same day. After the "Pay as you grow" option was requested, the claim is now scoped to the subscription plans, and the percentage option is stated as replacing the subscription rather than adding to it — mutual exclusivity is explicit at every mention, in all three languages. No unqualified "zero commission" remains on this page, and no rate figure appears anywhere. Without that scoping, this page would have argued against a pricing option displayed on the site's own pricing area. Full rules in the pay-as-you-grow copy file, §0 and §7.1.

5.4 Tier limits — RESOLVED, with an action for Alex

The four tiers now state real numbers: 1 000 / 10 000 / 50 000 visitors and 50 / 250 / 1 000 active vendors, Enterprise unlimited on quote.

Handoff item: these are new public facts. The pricing tiers on the home page currently describe themselves as traffic-indexed without stating any number. If this page publishes precise thresholds while the tier cards stay vague, the site looks inconsistent at the exact moment a prospect is comparing. The numbers need to appear on the tier cards too, in the three languages, and they will then flow into the structured data automatically since it reads the same source.

5.5 Third-party amounts

Every competitor figure keeps the indicative-pricing disclaimer already used in the cost-comparison section, reused verbatim from the existing translations rather than rewritten.
